He has also appeared in films such as The Wood, The Gospel, and The Great Debaters. Chanchez was born on September 12, 1981 in Montgomery, Alabama. He attended Robert E. Lee High School in Montgomery, where he was a member of the school's football team. He then attended Troy University, where he studied theater. Chanchez began his acting career in 2001, appearing in the film The Wood. He then went on to appear in the films The Gospel and The Great Debaters. In 2006, he was cast as Malik Wright on the CW/BET comedy-drama The Game. He remained on the show until it ended in 2015. He also had a recurring role on the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, playing Nelson from 2009 to 2015. In addition to acting, Chanchez is also a singer and rapper.
